Maritime Hostile Surveillence Detection

Maritime Hostile Surveillence Detection

This course has been developed to meet the changing needs of our Law Enforcement, Military and Maritime Security professionals who are an integral part to keeping our citizens and critical infrastructure safe.  To safely and successfully operate in the marine environment, these personnel must possess tactics and tools that can assist them in their surveillance duties.

This course will provide basic knowledge and skills used in Maritime Hostile Surveillance Detection (MHSD).  It is designed for individual officers and maritime facility personnel; vulnerability is assessed from the perspective of the attacker.  Students must first understand what a potential threat sees and to understand how an attacker may seek to expoit that vulnerability.  Upon determining vulnerabilities to an individual or facility, students embark on operational planning classes and exercises.

Based off modern surveillance techniques used globally, this course allows the student to effectively and efficiently operate, identify and employ counter surveillance techniques.
