 Description:
This course is designed to measure a ports ability to effectively respond to a maritime critical incident. Through experiential field training using presently existing assets and facilities in the port, the participants will apply command and control, communications, logistics and ability to respond safely and effectively to a maritime critical incident involving a terrorist threat afloat.

Terminal Performance Objective:
Given a scenario, the student will demonstrate the skills necessary to respond to a maritime critical incident given a maritime critical incident involving a terrorist threat according to the principles and techniques covered in this course of instruction.

Interim Performance Objectives:
1. Identify the required planning for proper response to a maritime critical incident involving a terrorist threat afloat.
2. Demonstrate effective use of presently existing assets and resources for the purpose of responding to and interdicting a terrorist threat afloat.
3. Identify strengths and weaknesses in the ability of the port to respond to a maritime critical incident involving a terrorist threat.
4. Identify specific training and equipment needs to enhance the ports ability to effectively respond to a maritime critical incident involving a terrorist threat afloat.

Method of Evaluation:
1. Demonstrate proficiency during practical exercise.
